I own a 2006 Navion motor home. I would like to purchase a new tow vehicle that is designed to be flat line towed. Could you suggest 2-4 choices? I would like them to be meant to be towed with no or very few restrictions. I am looking at the following: Vibe, Astra and a Corolla. I currently have a Jeep Liberty but it is heavier than I want or should be towing. Thank you

Reply to Chris (aka-Moose)'s Post: I would rather have an automatic but very few are available. I want a car that has a high reliability   and high gas mileage as we will be using this car every day when it is not being towed. I am aware that Chevy makes the Cobalt but it is not very well rated by consumer reports. The Astra can be used but does not come with many extras. My wife wants the new small car to have leather electric seats, XM, GPS etc. This car must stay light to tow and also be as nice and comfortable inside to be used everyday.I have been looking at hatchbacks such as the Vibe because I could put two large suitcases in it where that wold not be possible with a Corolla. This mission is two fold. One purpose is to be towed and one is to acquire a new high mileage car that will meet the needs of every day. It does need to be a FOUR door as we often need to take my mother-in-law with us.We are use to Limited models which have everything so thats why the Matrix was not listed because it does not come with leather or heated seats. I have seen the 09 Vibe and the 09 Corolla.

This is the first time I have used this service. I assume I am still waiting for a response. This vehicle can be stick shift if that is the best choice.

All of these choices are to heavy. The choices needed to be around 3000#s to be towed behind the Navion,24 feet 154hp. I am sure these choices are nice but they would be has heavy as my Jeep Liberty and would not improve my situation. Are you familiar with Itasca,Navion?

I believe the tow capacity for your RV is 3500. Finding a luxury vehicle 4 door which can be towed really puts a strain on finding a compatable car.

The ford fusion wieghs 3100 lbs and can be towed with a manual trans.

The vibe wieghs 2700 and and can be towed if manual.

The focus manual trans at 2500 lbs

Here is a list which may help explain all your options.
